How UP scores you

Every university does this differently.

Checked against the official source

UP APS

UP adds the NSC achievement levels (1 to 7) of your six best subjects, excluding Life Orientation.

This score means nothing at another university – it can’t be compared with any other university’s.

What we couldn’t confirm

UP APS rule

Read from a UP Faculty of Humanities undergraduate admission document: six 20-credit recognised subjects on the 1-7 scale, Life Orientation excluded, maximum 42. UP’s website blocked automated access, so this is one faculty’s document; other faculties may select on more than the APS.
